KAO Chemicals Europe is introducing TETRANYL L15-85E, an additive for Laundry Detergents which provides lubricity to fabrics, directly resulting in fibre protection against abrasion and pilling. Also, colour can be protected to maintain a good appearance.

Regular Esterquats used in fabric softeners are double‑tailed cationic surfactants that can be dispersed in water to formulate opaque fabric softeners. However, they are not compatible with anionic surfactants and cannot be added in a Liquid Laundry Detergent formulation.

TETRANYL L15-85E is a modified Esterquat with high water solubility while retaining fabric affinity. Due to its high-water solubility, it exhibits compatibility in Liquid Laundry Detergent formulations with the main anionic and non-ionic surfactants.

It exhibits compatibility with anionic surfactants such as SLES, LAS or their combinations, without affecting detergency efficacy or formula stability.
